This position is primarily responsible for field installation and maintenance of large industrial packaging equipment. This involves representing the company to our customers and assuring customer satisfaction through proper equipment set up, operate and maintenance training and on going service calls. The position will also be called upon to perform in house check out of finished machinery prior to shipping, final inspection of machinery, and sales support with technical representation is required. Territory is worldwide
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology
- Extensive working knowledge of electrical systems and electrical trouble shooting
- Familiarity with a 24 hour per day manufacturing process preferably within the plastics or paper industry
- Willingness to travel globally with extended visits of 2-3 weeks
Duties:
- Supervising equipment installation and start ups
- Develops and implements a customer training program
- Routine service trips to client sites
- Travels to customers globally to troubleshoot equipment problems
- When not travelling provides technical phone support
- Provides 24 hour technical assistance to customers
- Performs check out of equipment prior to shipping
- Assists R&D on special projects
- Must be totally proficient with equipment operation including programs, troubleshooting, maintenance, film processing and applications
- Train new service techs
